Art War 001 {And The Winner Is}

We have officially concluded our very first Art War! Thanks so much to all the "competitors" and everybody who voted on the blog/Facebook/Twitter/email/etc.  So without further ado...

Obsessions of the Week: 29DEC13 to 04JAN14

"Constellation Darts" Jenny Vorwaller.

Some things we're obsessed with this week:

• The art of Jenny Vorwaller. Abstract, fun, pixelated (AND ON SALE), Jenny's art is the perfect addition to any space. Check out her shop...you'll love it.
• Also LOVE Jaime Derringer's art...the Design Milk founder had a brilliant Shape A Day series in 2013 and does some fun miniatures that you need for your gallery wall (or the start of a future gallery wall).
• Emily McCarthy shows you how to go ferocious on any wall with this fun DIY Leopard Print Wall...such a great project.
• Gossip Girl on Netflix. We didn't have the GG bug while it was on TV, but we are fully enamored with the show on Netflix...great, guilty pleasure with phenomenal interior design inspiration...Blair Waldorf's living room is divine; as is Lily's art collection!
• Architectural Digest goes deep on your bubbly-musts for New Year's. #Champagne
• The Zoe Report shows you what you need to wear this NYE to look phresh/phunky/phun. #IDie

Clutter's Resolutions {2014}

Happy New Year, y'all! As we count down the days to 2014, we first wanted to say thank you for a magnificent first year at Clutter! We had such amazing support and are blessed as small business owners and Savannahians. 

As is procedure for an impending New Year, we have some resolutions for the store and the blog that we wanted to share with y'all. We're only going to get bigger and better in 2014 and hope you'll continue to come along for the ride!!

Resolutions.2014.

• We resolve to continue to provide high-end, one of a kind pieces of furniture in the store. We are working on our online store and shipping capabilities, but will continue to provide Savannah with Clutter's high standard of goods.
• For the blog...
• As Clutter grew in its first year, so too did our little blog. Some posts didn't work as well as others, but we will continue to provide fun, funky, design-focused posts to our readers. We are also collaborating with some amazing local talent to bring you some fun, new ideas/posts/etc.
• The blog schedule will look generally like this...
• SUNDAY: Obsessions of the Week
• TUESDAY: Color Combo (Where we discuss the power of juxtaposed colors in any space)
• WEDNESDAY: Dream Home of the Week.
• THURSDAY: Color Coded (Where we breakdown one color and show you how to use it, and where to find pieces in that tone across the net)
• FRIDAY: Get Right Playlist & Twitter Tidbits (We love these two!!) and we will continue our Get To Know series highlighting local artists, design junkies, and people we love!
• SATURDAY: Pinspiration (Where we pull design elements from Pinterest for a little design inspiration)
• Dream Home of the Day is going to become a Dream Home of the Week post...this allows us to pick only the BEST dream homes and comment accordingly.  
• We are going to do a series of 365 Days of Fabulous Furniture where we highlight a piece of furniture from (anywhere) around the internet each day...by the end of 2014, we'll have a great list of pieces to choose from for any project!
• And More!

Clutter is our baby and we're so happy/blessed/thrilled that y'all have been with us from the start. We are so looking forward to Clutter's second year and hope that you and yours have a blessed 2014!

Dream Home of the Day: 23 East Gordon Street, Savannah, GA

Phenomenal Gordon Street property. Still has all of the old world charm with great amenities and TONS of space. Love the neutral colors on the walls throughout against those beautiful wood floors.

Dream Home of the Day: 10 Tomochichi Lane, Savannah, GA

HUGE, traditional space in Savannah that we are drooling over...great exposed beams, tons of charm (and did we mention...HUGE!). We think it just needs a good coat of white paint on all of the walls and some fresh, funky furniture (maybe from...Clutter?!). What do y'all think?

Some things we're obsessed with this week:

• Beautiful, intricate watercolors by Bella Foster (above). Her works on paper and for Kate Spade are brilliant. 
• Holiday decorating advice from Nathan Turner, David Stark and more on Arch Digest. Great last minute ideas for your Christmas/New Years dinner decor...or to store away for next year. 
• West Elm shows off some beautiful, snowed-in homes on their blog!
• Kelley Hagemes' blog...we recently purchased an awesome piece from this local wunderkind and her blog is just the coolest (and sometimes creepiest...in a good way) thing since sliced bread. Check out her awesome interview with You're Welcome Savannah, too...that's where we get all of our news from.
• And speaking of YWS...we're obsessed with the interview they did with Clutter head honcho (and mom!!), Lynn...check it out HERE!

This is a great Ardsley Park property with all the amenities and TONS of space. Great kitchen, great (redone) bathrooms...the floors and neutral walls already afford you the opportunity to make the space whatever you imagine. But if you're looking to paint the whole place...what about white walls everywhere and a shiny black finish on all the trimming.  Would make a great modern look in this cozy bungalow.

On our favorite street in Ardsley Park, 208 East 44th is a standout. This brick beauty is so intricately detailed and styled. Absolutely love every room. What do y'all think?
