It's important to take advantage of horizontal surfaces in your home...they add another dimension and, with the right accessories, can tell a great story. I like to interweave pieces I love...a porcelain vase, a lamp, some shells, and some great coffee table books...to tie in a sophisticated scheme that represents me and my home. You can do this on a coffee table, on a dining room table, a console table...the areas and surfaces to show off your mini-stories are endless.
As in every element of design, remember the most important word...EDIT. Edit yourself, edit your tablescapes, and you'll come away with something unique, not over designed, and fun! And you'll have a blast arranging and rearranging time after time.
