"For the Love of God," by Damien Hirst. |
- The Civil Wars new self-titled album which rocks with such southern sophistication that we imagine it's the album Katherine Sandoz has on in her studio while she's making magic canvas or what Leslie Miller is rocking to while creating funky accessories for Fashion Week. "From This Valley" is so beautiful, we'll even forgive The Civil Wars previous collaboration with T. Swift...
- Shark Week. We know we're not alone here, but we're so obsessed with everything about Discovery Channel's Shark Week right now! Especially with the Voodoo Shark of the Mississippi and previews for Moonshiner's spin-off Tickle starring the hardworking titular character.
- The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living. Artist, Damien Hirst's most famous/infamous work, The Physical Impossibility is an amazing piece of (certainly debatable) art that captures the spirit and the power of a tiger shark suspended in formaldehyde. Hirst's other work, like the platinum and diamond encrusted 18th Century skull above, is both controversial and incredible...but it's the shark that gets us going! Epic!!
