An easy way to break up a wood-heavy, neutral space is by throwing in a hide to give a pop of something 1) on trend, 2) functional, and 3) comfortable. Black and white is in, from the runway to home décor, and while a cowhide can seem rustic/traditional, a black/white one gives a little modern flair!
